Gaucho & Condor Trail Argentina 2027
A week of adventure among the gauchos with Amancio & Team
There are trips you take - and there are journeys that become part of you.
From the saddle, we explore the untamed Sierras Centrales of San Luis, following authentic Gaucho trails far from roads and tourist routes. Day by day, horse and rider become one as breathtaking landscapes unfold before you—vast plateaus, dramatic canyons, and crystal-clear rivers.
You hear the steady breathing of your horse, the creak of leather, and the wind sweeping through the mountains. Condors soar overhead, and as night falls, the campfire crackles beneath an endless canopy of stars.
A landscape with the power to quiet your mind within moments. Nature, horses, and you. Adventure and deep relaxation in perfect balance.
For six unforgettable days, we ride the historic Gaucho trails through some of Argentina's most spectacular scenery. What stays with you is a profound sense of freedom.
This is a trail for those who don't just want to see Argentina—but truly experience it.
Among gauchos
Together with them, you'll experience their deep-rooted horse culture, warm hospitality, and a way of life that has remained closely connected to nature for generations. Amancio and his gaucho team will show you Argentina as it has been explored for centuries – authentic, untamed, and free.
Throughout the week, we won't meet another soul. No roads, no power lines, no phone signal – just horses, mountains, and endless wilderness. A true adventure, far away from everyday life.
In the Saddle
Our Criollo-cross horses are sure-footed, calm, and incredibly resilient – perfectly adapted to life in the mountains. Bred by generations of gauchos for intelligence, endurance, and cattle work, they are reliable partners on every trail.
They carry us across crystal-clear rivers, over high plateaus, along narrow mountain paths, and through the open grasslands at a gallop. Day by day, the bond between horse and rider grows stronger, making it all the harder to say goodbye at the end of the journey.
Condors over El Monigote
The Sierras Centrales are a mountain range of vast horizons and silence – raw, untouched, and striking in every direction. Wide plateaus, deep valleys, and crystal-clear rivers shape this landscape.
Day after day, condors accompany us above the peaks – circling silently and majestically through the sky. With wingspans of up to three meters, we can see the largest flying birds in the world right above us. For the gauchos, they are the guardians of the mountains in the wind.
Asado by the Fire
In Argentina, the evening does not begin with food – it begins with fire.
Rodrigo prepares the asado slowly, with patience and deep respect for tradition. Alongside it come regional specialties and fresh bread, meat from the fire, crisp salads, and vegetables cooked in the embers.
We eat together under the open sky or beneath our canvas tent by the fire. The embers glow long into the night – just like the stories shared around them.
Glamping
In the middle of nature, but with the comfort you appreciate after a long day in the saddle. We stay in spacious, cozy white canvas tents, sleep on comfortable camp beds with sheepskins, and wake up to pink sunrises instead of hotel room walls – authentic, simple, and truly special.
Bonding
This adventure connects us from the very first to the last day – on horseback, during lunch on high plateaus, and in the evenings around the fire. A glass of Malbec, a guitar, and stories that make everyone laugh. Days and nights in nature bring us closer together and quickly turn fellow travelers into real friends.
